Wright Wildlife Refuge
(Michelle’s Class)

9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Wright Wildlife Refuge is a bird-banding station coordinated by Matt Johnson (parent of Anders and Isaac) and run by his students from HSU. Michelle’s class will learn about the local ecology and get an up-close look at the birds that are caught and banded at the refuge.

Our ukulele teacher, Lyndsey Battle, has arranged for the upper elementary students to have another ukulele playing gig! Students have been invited to perform a few songs on their ukes at the First Friday in Fortuna. Students are encouraged to attend. It would be helpful if those families who can attend, organize carpooling.
Sequoia Park Zoo

FFA Farm Fair

Eureka High School Ag Department
The FFA Farm Fair tour is an hour long and includes lots of animals, archery, flower arranging, sheep shearing, and other FFA projects. If the weather is good we will plan to have lunch on the fields or track or perhaps stop at a park on our way back to school. More details to come!

Arcata Playhouse
Sweet Can Circus explores the theme of resourcefulness and instills new life into old ideas, creating a world in which anything can happen. The show includes circus skills of aerial silks, acrobatics, slack rope, and hula hoops, propelled by the infectious music of EO — the one-man orchestra.
