Do you know a business owner who might be interested in sponsoring the park? We’ve put together sponsorship packets, and we’d love to send them one!
You can download it here, or contact Lindsey Grossman at (707) 599-7011, or email@example.com, and she’ll make sure they receive a packet.
The Manila Community Playground Project has a Facebook Page!
Check it out and follow the page for more updates. There will be a Community Build Day THIS SUMMER! So exciting!
Manila Community Playground… It’s Happening!
September 6, 2017
Dear Redwood Coast Montessori Community:
We are sending out this letter to update you on our playground project. For several years, we have been fundraising for a community playground at our site, and we are now getting closer to our goal. At this time we would like to reach out to the RCM community about the project, to gather feedback and support. There will also be a public meeting this fall with the broader Manila community to gather input regarding the playground.
The RCM administration has done extensive research and put considerable time into this project. There are several constraints around age-appropriateness, insurance, safety, and our beautiful beach location with its salty coastal climate. If you would like more information about these constraints or this process, please contact Bryan Little (firstname.lastname@example.org).
“Giving children opportunities to play freely and actively is a great way of promoting holistic development. Playgrounds provide a non-prescriptive environment where children can play and develop skills at their own pace, using their own rules and role play ideas.” -Dr. Amanda Gummer
Please take our short survey (click here) when you have time. The survey will take 5-10 minutes to complete and the information is very valuable to us. We would like to gather as many responses as possible by Friday, September 22, 2017.
It is our hope that this playground will be a source of growth and joy for children attending RCM, as well as children in the community, for many years to come.
