3rd Annual April Fool’s Trivia Follies!
Saturday, March 31st
D Street Neighborhood Center, Arcata
Do you have a wealth of underappreciated trivia knowledge steeping beneath your jester hat? Are you looking for an opportunity to capitalize on all those years of listening to albums in the basement? Or for an outlet for sharing some of your favorite sports factoids? Do you believe spending rainy days reading your book club book should pay off in a manner that extends beyond personal fulfillment? Then we have the event for you!
Tickets go on sale March 12th and cost $10 per person or $70 for a team of 8. Individuals or small groups may be combined to form full tables of trivia tossing fools.
This is an adult only event. Come with an appetite for fun and carbs because beer and pizza will be served and much laughter shared. Child care will be provided by our high school students at the RCM High School campus. See information below for more details.
Answer to last week’s question (On the old 33 1/3 vinyl albums, what do the letters LP stand for? 30…29….28…27….):
Long play format came out in 1948 on the 12 inch albums. Each side of the record would play an average of 20 minutes per side.
This week’s question:
In the Star Wars series, who was the mentor to the Emperor?
Stay tuned for a new question each week!
Child Care for Trivia Follies
Saturday, March 31st
6:30 – 9:30 pm
Redwood Coast Montessori High School
2610 Wyatt Lane, Arcata
Kids, ditch your family at Trivia Follies (or at another equally glamorous spot) and head over to the RCM High School for a fun-filled movie night complete with food, games, and crafts. In true RCM-style, we’ll enjoy fresh pasta with homemade sauce, salad, and apple slices for dinner.
Afterwards, you can choose from several activities include ping pong, origami, book making, board games, hula hoops, and Scratch. The movie, My Neighbor Totoro, is a beautiful classic for all ages from Studio Ghibli. Your family can come pick you up between 9 – 9:45 pm.
Are you ready a rockin’ fun time at Kids Night Out? You just need to be between ages 5 – 13. Feel free to invite your friends, even if they do not attend RCM. The cost is $20 / student and only $15 for additional siblings. All the donations will support a class trip next fall.
