Upper elementary students participate each spring in the Midwest Regional Montessori Model United Nations Conference.  During this two day conference, student delegates collaborate, debate, and negotiate with students from Montessori schools across the United States. Delegates prepare for the conference by researching the history, political structure, and culture of a country for the purpose of preparing a paper outlining their assigned country’s position on a topic under review at the United Nations.  More information about the Montessori Model United Nations is available at the MMUN website.
